Note: Jane L MOORE was born in 1864 in Kiama New South Wales to parents John and Margaret MOORE, this has been confirmed by the NSW BDM Index.
It is estimated that if Jane married, it would have been after 1882, based on her age. If Jane was married in Queensland as was suggested in the letter from Mrs BARTLETT; then there are 4-5 possible marriages (4 under the name of Jane MOORE, 1 under name of Louisa MOORE). Of those marriages, the one for Jane MOORE to Jeremiah McSWEENEY in 1895 appears most likely. There were no likely records of a marriage in NSW.
A only death record exists for a Jane McSWEENEY is in 1950, this would make her 88. The father's name on the death certificate is noted as James MOORE, mother Margaret WYNNE. Whilst the fathers name is inconsistent with the original birth record, it could be informant error, or her father may have gone by a possible middle name of James.
