Biography
Pietro Celesti was born about 1550. the son of Giambattista Celestri and his wife Lucrezia Migliaccio
The Celesti or Celestri family was of French origin.
Pietro Celesti became the Marchese of Santa Croce (Holy Cross), a town in Sicily.
Pietro Celesti married Francesca Cifuentes y Imbarbara in 1596, who inherited the area of Siclia known as L'Alia, founded a town and became Baronessa of Alia, She gave Pietro the courtesy title Barone di Alia.
