Biography

Phebe PLATT was born between 1718 and 1720. She died 26 Apr 1756. Contrary to information currently available on Find A Grave (courtesy of erroneous Ancestry family trees), Phebe's mother was Joseph Platt's second wife, Sarah Hunt, and NOT Abiah Smith who died circa 1717.

Phebe PLATT married Sgt. Jonah NEWTON, her first cousin. No record of their wedding yet located. They were both admitted to full communion at the First Church of Milford in December 1752,^[1]

Phebe (Platt) Newton, wife of Sgt Jonah, died in Milford on 26 Apr 1756.^[2]
