Biography

Ruth was one of three children and the only daughter of Oliver and Eleanor (Burbank) Stoughton, born in February 1760. She married Joseph Elmer about 1780. Shortly thereafter she bore her daughter Eleanor. Apparently never leaving Windsor, she died there in 1843.
