Biography
When Kitty Ann Oxsheer was born on May 29, 1823, in Lee Holler, Tennessee, her father,Samuel Oxsheer, was 46, and her mother, Sarah Margaret Wilson , was 43.
She married William Elgin Lee in 1842 in Tennessee. They had twelve children during their marriage. In 1850, they are living in Bledsoe County. [1] In 1860, there are nine children in their home. [2] 1870 has eleven children living at home. [3] In 1880, only the three of the younger children were still living at home. [4]
She died on June 28, 1886, in Bradley, Tennessee, at the age of 63, and was buried there in the Lee Cemetery. [5]
Research
Per her son Russell's death certificate her last name was Crawford. I have no reasoning for this conflict.
