Asa Brownson was born in New Milford, Connecticut on October 31, 1754 to Thomas Brownson and his wife Elizabeth (Baldwin) Brownson.^[1]

He married [[Wood-13502|Sarah Wood on September 9, 1777, in New Milford.^[2] They had three children: John Brownson,Hermon Brownson, and Orra Brownson

Asa died Mar 22, 1814 in New Milford and is buried there.^[3]
