Biography

John G. Misner was born on 15 March 1890 at Hancock, Delaware County, New York, USA.^[1] He appeared on the census of 25 June 1900 in the household of his parents, Tunis J. Misner and Cordelia (Secord) Misner, at Hancock, Delaware County, New York.^[2]

He married Mabel M. Forrest, daughter of Robert Forrest and Laura Imogene (Baxter) Forrest, on 9 Sep. 1909 at Middletown, Orange County, New York.^[3]

In 1917 he was a trainman for the New York, Ontario and Western Railway, Cadosia, Delaware County, New York.^[1] He and Mabel appeared on the census of 5 Jan. 1920 at East Front Street, Hancock, Delaware County, New York.^[4] He was a brakeman for a steam railroad when he and Mabel appeared on the census of 15 April 1930 at 81 River Street, Sidney, Delaware County, New York.^[5]

John died in 1946, probably in Delaware County, and was buried at East Branch Cemetery, Hancock, Delaware County, New York. His memorial has a photo of his headstone shared with Mabel and a link to that of their son Forrest.^[6]
