Biography
Elizabeth Roche was daughter and coheir of Thomas Roche of Castle Bromwich, Warwickshire. Her mother Elizabeth, was daughter and co-heir of Sir Thomas Birmingham of Birmingham.
Her husband George Longville was an MP, who inherited part of the old feudal barony of Wolverton.
Her own inheritance went to her son Richard Longville who inherited it as a minor when she died. This was a politically sensitive inheritance which the family struggled to keep control of.
