CONT CONT Mrs. LaVina Etoil Eihl, 79 years old, a resident of rock Island 65 years and wife of Lawrence K. Eihl, former city health officer and a watchman at the Servus Rubber company for many years, died of complications at 9 o'clock this morning in the home, 2215 Twenty-sixth street, after three months illness. CONT CONT Mrs. Eihl was born in Mifflintown, Pa, October 2, 1858, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sipe. She was reared and educated in Dixon, Iowa, and united in marriage to Lawrence K. Eihl on November 27, 1889. CONT CONT Surviving are the widower; two sons, Fred C. Eihl, Rock Island and Louis, Honolulu, Hawaii; two daughters, Miss Lillian Eihl, at home, and Mrs. T. B. Bringas, Chicago; three brothers, William Sipe, Bellingham, Wash; George Sipe of Rock Island, and Ed of Denver, Colo; a sister, Mrs Charles Strasser of Waterbury, Neb; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. CONT CONT The body is at the Knox mortuary.

Note HI176(Research):A Tomas Blanco Bringas was located on a collection of documents; however, the only connection to Florence Eihl was her mother's obituary. Did not find a formal marriage between Florance and Tomas. Did not find a death or divorce for Florence. A death certificate for Tomas Bringas is in the sources document collection and it names a wife other that Florence. The 1940 census also has a different wife. Unable to fully resolve this marriage and its conclusion.
