Joseph Read (abt. 1733 - 1792)

Several of the details above match my Joseph Read who died on 18 April 1792 in Knowlton Twp., Sussex Co., NJ. However, I question naming Joseph Read-928 (b. 1708) and Grace (Pray) Read as his parents. The record for Joseph Read-928 says that his son Joseph Read married Mary Cornell, and this is supported by the two family histories cited in the notes for Joseph Read-928. I haven't been able to identify parents for Joseph Read-2201. I suggest deleting the current parents, siblings, birth date and birth place listed in his record. This is apparently a "same name must be same person" confusion, which isn't helped by the fact that the two Josephs seem to have similar birth and death dates. Interestingly, Joseph Read-2201 's children include five names that match those of Joseph Read-928's son Joseph and Mary Cornell, but with entirely different birth years. It's possible that the Joseph Read who came to New Jersey ties in with the family of Joseph Read-928 in some other way.

Read-2201 and Read-5683 appear to represent the same person because: They're the same person, the wikitree auto suggestions just didn't show up when I made the profile.
