"U. S. Rep. Frank Fellows of Maine Monday nominated Norman Earl Tarbell, Calais, and S/Sgt. Owen Hartleigh Bridgham, Bangor to the U. S. Military Academy at West Point, N. Y.
"S/Sgt. Bridgham is assigned to the 37th Infantry Regiment at Fort Benning, Ga. He was graduated from Bangor High School in 1943, entered the army in June, 1944, and re-enlisted in January, 1946. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bridgham, 5 Pierce Street, Bangor."

"Belfast, June 27. -- A demonstration of the 57 and 75 mm. recoilless rifles, which were developed during World War II and combat-tested in the Philippines during 1945, will be held at the Belfast Armory July 7 at 7:30 p. m. The demonstration will be under the direction of Major Henry G. Perron, unit instructor, Organized Reserve Corps, Bangor, and conducted by S/Sgt. Owen H. Bridgham of Bangor, who passed 18 months of his World War II service as an instructor on recoilless weapons. All reservists and other interested military personnel are invited."
In 1956, he was a contact for the Bangor chapter of the Boston University Alumni Club. In 1960, he was its president.

"Bangor (AP) -- The funded debt of the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad has been reduced by nearly .1 million with the completion of a major refinancing of its long-term debt.
"...
"Owen H. Bridgham, vice president for finance for the Maine railroad, said the refinancing is the final step in a process which was begun in December, 1971, when the railroad acquired nearly .8 million par value of its then outstanding .3 million bonds. The cost was .7 million."

"SOUTH PARIS - Owen H. Bridgham, a retired Bangor and Aroostook Railroad executive, died Oct. 20, 2009, at the Maine Veterans' Home, South Paris. He was born March 1, 1926, in Machias, the son of Carl and Florence Maynard Bridgham. Owen attended the U.S. Military Academy and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maine. He served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1947, and the U.S. Army Reserve for 20 years, where he retired as a major. Owen began his railroad career as a statistical clerk. He was later manger of research, administrative assistant to the president and vice president of finance. He retired as vice president in 1985. He had a wry sense of humor, and is remembered by his railroad colleagues and in the financial community as generous with his skills and his time. Owen is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ann Phelan Bridgham. A military burial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Riverside Cemetery Annex, South Paris."
Owen is buried at the Riverside Annex Cemetery, South Paris, Oxford, Maine.
