A. J. Satterwhite, Justice of the Peace b. 15 Nov 1934, Newton, Texas. m. Bulah Rebecca “Becky” Humphrey b. 12 July 1940.

From Findagrave: A J Satterwhite, retired Justice of the Peace, 84 of Fawil died on June 30, 2019.

He was born on November 15, 1934 and was a lifelong resident of Newton County.

A J was a 1952 graduate of Newton High School and began his career in the Forestry Industry before serving 28 years as Justice of the Peace of Precinct 1 in Newton County. He also ran A J’s Auction Barn for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rebecca Satterwhite of Fawil, daughters, Glenda Laing and husband, Fred of Kirbyville, Deborah Scott and husband, Bobby of Kirbyville and Connie Smith and husband, Charles of Fawil, son, Gary Satterwhite and wife, Gwen of Fawil sisters and brothers, Sue Fussell of Kirbyville, Glen Goodwin of Fawil, Jr. Goodwin of Fawil and Dale Ketchum of Simpson, La., grandchildren, Sherry and Randy Fussell of Kirbyville, Jeremy Bailey and Shawna of Call, Tx, Marty Bailey and Honore of Bullard, Tx, Keisha Willliams of Newton, Chad Barlow and Shea of Fawil, Jennifer and Taylor Newell of Fawil, Kyle Satterwhite and Avari of Fawil, Casey Smith and Shanna of Sheridan, Ark., Courtney Hollinshead and Shae of Fawil and Cayla and Hoss Fawler of Buckhorn and 25 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Fawil United Pentecostal Church.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the church with burial to follow at Davis Cemetery in Fawil.
