Son of Edmund and Alice Nelson, John was christened 2 Feb 1656 at Wendling, Norfolk, England.^[1]

He married, circa 1672, Jane Harker^{[citation needed]}, daughter of Thomas and Margeria (Wilson) Harker, who had married in Settrington, York, England in 1641.

He died about 1708.^{[citation needed]}
