Florence, daughter of Jonathan B Morse and Eleanor E Cobb, died (age 78) on 27 October 1937 in Staten Island, New York City, New York, United States.^[8] She was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica, Oneida, New York, United States.^[9]

Florence was in an obituary on 28 October 1937.^[10] Her obituary published by the New York Times on October 28, 1937, had a large headline, "MRS. C. R. KINGSLEY, AUTHOR OF NOVELS; Staten Island Woman Wrote 32 Books, Including 'Prisoners of the Sea'-Dies at 78." The obituary included that she died on the afternoon of October 27 at their home, 116 Kingsley Avenue, Westerleigh, Staten Island, after a short illness. ^[11]
