Biography

She was born around 1498 in Guildford, Surrey, England. She was the daughter of Sir John Gainesford and his second wife, Ann Haute.[1][2]She married Sir William Courtenay, son of Sir William Courtenay and Cecily Cheney.[2]in Powderham, Devon, England in 1521. After the death of her first husband she married for a second time, Sir Anthony Kingston. The marriage took place about 1549 in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.

Thank you for your insight. Yes, it is a mistake! Bio should state: She was the daughter of Sir John Gainesford and Anne Haute, deleting one "the daughter of". Vitals give her as daughter of John Gainsford and Ann Hawte. Bio says she was daughter of their daughter. As her LNAB is given as Gaynsford presumably it's the bio that is wrong.
