Biography

Frederick Albrekt Kronlein was born June 8, 1858 in Ojaby, Sweden to Michael Kronlein and Johanna Katerine Wodt ^[1]. By approximately 1880, Frederick (22) is living in Skaraborg, Hyringa, Sweden with Maja Lena Johansdt (2/16/1840) and Karl Albert (9/8/1879)^[2]. The relationship between this individuals is not clear. It is also during this time that documents show him living in the same city with his mother, Katrina Johanna Kroenlein (1/22/1819, Holstein)^[3]. ON February 29, 1892, Fred Kronlein (33) marries Hedvig Swanson (22) in Ludington, Michigan. This is Fred's second marriage and Hedvig's first. At the time fred is a laborer^[4].

• Fred Kronlein is living in Skaraborg, Hyringa, kyrkoböcker, Sweden. His birthdate matches all other documents. It says he is living with his mother Katrina Johanna Kroenlein born 1/22/1819 in Holstein.

February 29, 1892 - Michigan, County Marriages, 1820-1940

• Fred A. Kronlein (33) marries Hedvig Swanson (22) in Ludington, Michigan. Both reside in Ludington. Fred is a laborer and Hedvig is engaged in housework. Fred's parents are Michael Kronlein and Johanna Vosh. Hedvig's parents are Iman Johnson and unknown mother. This was Fred's second marriage and Hedvig's first. Both witnesses were from the Johnson family in Ludington. C.V. Vestling was the minister who performed the marriage.

November 17, 1900 - Michigan Births, 1867-1902

• Anna Katherine Kronlein is born to Fred and Hedvig Kronlein.

May 3, 1910 - 1910 U.S. Federal Census

• Fred Kronlein (51) is living with wife Hedvig (39), sons; Ernest (19), Henry (16), Albert (1y 2m), and Clarence (1m), and daughters; Hilda (14), Annie (9), and Estella (3). All children were born in Michigan, both parents were born in Sweden. Hedvig's parents were born in Sweden as well, while Fred's parents were born in Germany. Fred is naturalized and came to the U.S. in 1880. Hilda arrived in 1890.

April 8, 1930 - 1930 U.S. Federal Census

• Fred Kronlein (71) is living with wife Hedvig (59), daughters Estella (23) and Margaret (21), sons Albert (21) and Clarence (20). Now both parents claim that their families are born in Sweden. Fred is working as a janitor at the watch case factory.

May 17, 1941 - Michigan Death Certificates, 1921-1952
