Biography

John was born in 1882. He was the son of James Preble and Hannah Sibley.^[1]

John married Ida Kenerson on Mar 22, 1911 in Winchendon, Massachusetts.^[2]

He passed away in 1962^[3] and is buried at Mount Repose Cemetery Burlington, Maine.^[4]

Obituary

JOHN H. PREBLE, BURLINGTON - John H. Preble, 80, died early Monday morning at a Lincoln hospital after a short illness. He was born here March 17, 1882, son of James and Hannah (Sibley) Preble. Surviving are a son Burton of Milford; three brothers, Orren of Springfield, Mass., Lester and Charles of Burlington; a sister, Miss Annie Preble of Burlington; two grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Clay Memorial Chapel, Lincoln, the Rev. Frederick Robie officiating. Interment win be in Mt. Repose Cemetery, Burlington. Friends may call at the funeral home.^[5]
