Henry Lindsay, 13th Earl of Crawford was born after 1557, the son of David Lindsay, 10th Earl of Crawford and Margaret Bethune. He married, firstly, Helen Chisholm, daughter of James Chisholm, 3rd of Cromlix and Jean Drummond, before 26 July 1586. He married, secondly, Elizabeth Shaw, daughter of Sir James Shaw of Sauchie and Marjory Kirkcaldy, on 2 December 1599. He died in 1623 at Finhaven Castle, Angus, Scotland. He was buried at Finhave Castle Church, Angus, Scotland. He was also known as Henry Charteris. He held the office of Master of the Household to Anne of Denmark, Queen Consort.[1]
