Biography
Anthony was born in 1740.
Anthony DeMings, Senior, of the town and county of Shelburne, Nova Scotia, yeoman, wrote his Last Will and Testament, 13 Jun 1812, leaving bequests to his wife Elizabeth, sons Anthony and William, and daughter Elizabeth. he appointed his son-in-law James McKinney as his executor. He signed the will with an X.[1] The will was probated 3 Oct 1812.
He passed away in 1812.

Anthony was supposedly kidnapped from a beach in Portugal as a child and brought to America. And was later one of the first Portuguese settlers in Nova Scotia. Does anyone have any sources for these stories?
