Biography

Marcella Jane, daughter of John E. and Margaret (Pence) Goheen, of Strattonville, was born December 31, 1931, and departed this life on Monday, September 19, 1932, aged eight months and 18 days. The cause of death was cholera infantum. She is survived by her parents, three brothers and two sisters, namely, Helen, Paul, Leona, Keith and Junior. Funeral services were held at the Leatherwood Presbyterian church by Rev. A. E. Timmis, on Tuesday, Sept. 20. Vivian McNaughton, Joan Buzard, Dorothy Geist and Grace Champion carried the many beautiful floral tokens of respect. The pallbearers were Ruth Barlett, Sara Wolfgang, Helen Swartsfager and Fay Kirkpatrick. Interment was made in the Leatherwood cemetery. The little crib is empty now, The little clothes laid by; A mother's hope, a father's joy In death's cold arm doth lie. Go, little pilgrim, to thy home On yonder blissful shore, We miss you here, but soon we'll come Where thou hast gone before.
