Biography

Hugh Massy born before1659, probably in England, son of Hugh and Margaret (Percy) Massy.^[1]

In 1674 Hugh Massy was appointed High Sheriff for County Limerick.^[1]

Hugh Massey also built the church at Duntrileague; only the ruined tower is still standing. His father made a present of a bell to the church.^[1]

Hugh married Amy Benson of the north of Ireland. ^[1]
