Harry Lloyd Markham was born on June 20, 1883, in Mellette, South Dakota, USA, his father, Walter Harry Markham and his mother, Mary Ann Robinson. He married Emily Elizabeth Gilhooly in 1912.He died on September 20, 1953, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, at the age of 70, and was buried there.
