Biography

George Evans of Bulgaden Hall, co. Limerick, a barrister-at-law and zealous promoter of the Glorious Revolution, and an MP and PC. George Evans in 1679 married Mary Eyre, daughter of Col. John Eyre of Eyre Court, co. Galway, MP.

GEORGE EVANS, PC (in or after 1688), of Bulgaden Hall, Co Limerick; barrister, MP Co Limerick and Charleville, Co Cork; m 1679 Mary, dau of John Eyre, PC, of Eyre Court, CoGalway, and had, with seven daus:

THE RT HON GEORGE EVANS (1658-1720), MP for County Limerick, who wedded Miss Eyre, daughter of John Eyre Esq, of Eyrecourt Castle, County Galway, and sister of the 1st Lord Eyre. He had a large family including,

  2. Eyre, of Portrane, County Dublin, married Sarah Dixon, daughter of T Dixon of Ballylackin, co. Cork

Evans-27264 and Evans-14085 appear to represent the same person because: Both George Evans MP of Cork.
Hi Brian, thanks for adding this pre-1700 profile to WikiTree. As you will be aware from your pre-1700 certification, 'Ancestry search' isn't an adequate source for pre-1700 profiles. I guess you were planning to come back and source it with at least one actual source. Please could you do that as soon as possible. In future, it is preferable to have an actual source ready at the time when you first create a pre-1700 profile. Thanks again.
