Biography
Phebe Jordan was born about 1817 in Maine, United States.[1] She was the daughter of Benjamin Jordan and Sarah Smith. (Note her birth date is not certain; census records give 1815-1819, her death record age of 81 years implies about Nov 1817,[2] while her gravestone age of 81 years 11 months implies about Dec 1816.[3])
She married James Treworgy.[1][3]
In the 1850 US census, Phebe Treworgy (32, born about 1818) and James Treworgy (38) were living in Ellsworth, Hancock, Maine, with children Elexes (11), Clarance (6) and Hamlin (3), and with Almira Nason (28).[1]
In 1860, Phebe Treworgy (42, born about 1818) was living in Ellsworth, with children Alexais (21), Clarrence (16), Ellerry (13), Willis (10) and Ella (1).[4]
In 1870, Phebe F Treworgy (55, born about 1815) was living in Ellsworth, with children Willie (19) and Ella (11).[5]
In 1880, Phebe Treworgy (61, born about 1819), widow, was living in Ellsworth with children Willis (29) and Ella (21).[6]
Phebe F, wife of James Treworgy, died on 15 Nov 1898 in Ellsworth, Hancock, Maine. She was 81 years, 11 months old according to her gravestone, or 81 years per her death record.[2] She was buried with her husband at Beechland Cemetery, Ellsworth, Hancock County, Maine, USA.[3]
