Margaret (McMillan) McMath was born in Scotland.

Birth

Margaret McMillan was born c. 1790 in Dalmellington, Ayrshire, Scotland. Her parents were probably John McMillan and Margaret Cato as given on Margaret McMath's death record. That death record states that her father was a game keeper, deceased. Dalmellington is a very ancient market and mining town close to Loch Doon. See here for further information about the town.[1]

She married James McMath (about 1792-before March 1851) in about 1816 in Scotland.^[1]

1. Mary McMath was born in 1817 in Balmaclellan, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland. She married Thomas McAdam (1815-1897) on 7 December 1838 in Balmaclellan, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland. Mary died on 13 November 1896 in Haugh of Urr, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.

Death

Margaret died on 4 March 1869 in Carsphairn, Dumfries and Galloway, (was Kirkcudbrightshire) Scotland at the age of 79. Cause of death is listed as old age. No medical attendant at the time of her death. Carsphairn is a village in present day Dumfries and Galloway. To see more go here [2]
