WIlliam Pinckney/Pingney was born about 1680 and died 1 Mar 1755.
He married Ithamar Pell (Thamax Pell in their marriage record) 25 Jun 1703. [1]
Will
William Pinckney signed his will on November 16, 1751 and it was proved March 6, 1755. Pelletreau's abstract of this lengthy will[2] is somewhat inexact. The will names sons-in-law Capt. John Hunt and Israel Honewell Jr. as executors. He leaves to wife Ithamar use of their house and the land it is built on during her widowhood and no longer, after which executors are to sell specified lands, tenements, and hereditaments. He bequeaths only L.5 to eldest son Israel, in view of what he has already provided for him, L.10 to his granddaughter Mary, wife of Peter Vermilye, and Negro boy Frank to daughter Sarah wife of Caleb Hunt. The will provides that the balance of the estate is to be equally divided among the five daughters, listed in the order mentioned:[3]
Ithamar wife of Joseph Conkling,
Jane wife of John Jones,
Mary wife of John Hunt,
Sarah wife of Caleb Hunt
Jemima wife of Israel Honeywell jr.
Children
