Her obituary in The Fayettville, Tennessee February 13, 1918 reads: "Mrs. Mary Eliza Snoddy. aged 5 months and 13 days, died of la grippe (flu) near Kelso on Saturday January 26, 1918. For over 80 years she had been a member of the Primitive Baptist church and her delight was to serve the lord. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. W.J. Malone, Burial at the Snoddy Graveyard. She is survived by 6 sons and 5 daughters."
The Snoddy Grave yard is on a hill just off highway 64 east of Kelso on the left, where the old church was. Down the lane on the west is where the David Snoddy log house is. A larger frame house has been built around it. Some of the old graves have been moved to the newer Kelso cemetery.
