Jane Madden was the daughter of Robert Madden of Donore, Dublin, and Jane Ward of Kilmarta, Roscommon. The Madden pedigree is here: https://www.stirnet.com/genie/data/british/mm4ae/madden1.php (BIFR1976 (Madden)). From memory, Jane's place in it is explicit in Burke's Irish Family Records but the source may lie elsewhere. Catherine Crofton's father was Thomas Crofton, Dean of Elphin ( https://www.stirnet.com/genie/data/british/cc4rz/crofton1.php ) (BP1934 (Crofton), BP1934 (Crofton of Longford House)). This branch of the Crofton's descends from the Maypowder and Duke of Castle Jordan families.
