Biography

Sarah was born in 1804. Sarah Nash passed away in 1899.

The 1850 United States census records: Sarah C (46) is living with children F C (15), Sarah R (13), A V (11), and D M (9) in Middleton, Tennessee. Sarah is a widow. ^[1]

The 1860 United States census records: S C (56) with children A V (20), D M (19), and J B (16) are living in District 14, Rutherford, Tennessee. ^[2]

The 1870 United States census records: J C (43) and Mary J (39) with children William H (20), John (19), Sarah E (17), Edward B (12), James W (8), and Robert (6) are living in La Fayette, Georgia. Sarah C Holden (66) and Amanda V Holden (27) are living with them. Sarah is Mary Jane's mother and Amanda is her sister. ^[3]
