Hi Brian, I am with the Thomas Name Study. Is the correct year of death for Joshua 1814 or 1853? Either way, it seems that he could not be the Joshua Thomas who was the wife of Rachel Thomas (m 1876) and father of the last son on this profile, Richard Thomas, born 1886. Please could you review. Many thanks. Gillian

Richard Thomas is not of this family. He was of the black race and lived in the wrong part of Maryland. Going by the 1900 Census his parents are a Joshua and Rachel Thomas of the black race. Another fact going by the posted dated he was born after the death of Joshua Thomas and Rachel Evans

Thomas-20318 and Thomas-20696 appear to represent the same person because: Same date of birth, same wife
