Variance of the name should be added to the Nicknames field
Rachel died on the 16th of September 1818.On both of their death records they name is given as Birmingham. Why is yet to be determined. They had at least four and possibly seven children. By 1841 Asher and John were in Australia Elizabeth is the only one of them that documentary evidence places in London. This is through her Synagogue marriage record in 1802, an insurance record of 1837, the 1841 census and a 1848 Kellys PO trade directory reference
maiden name is unknown. The information given to me by my cousin is in a well researched family history. Much of the research on them was done on their visit to London in the 1990s. This included assistance by a Rabbi. Lazarus was born in 1743 and Rachel in 1752. There is a reference to a Lazarus Hart in a London tax record of 1761that places him in the east end of London. This record seems to indicate that he was not living in a separate house. My Lazarus and Rachel were slop sellers or dealers of used clothing, living and working in Rosemary Lane, near the Tower of London. Their last address was in Peters Court. An online search came up with an old London map that showed Peters Court as a short dead end street at the eastern end of the Lane
