Thomas Cooper first settled on Rottens Fork of Wolf River, one of the first settlers there; then he move to Indian Creek more than a 100 years ago. He was a teacher. He was a soldier in the War of 1812 and drew a pension. He rode horseback to Nashville to get his money.
