"This day Fayette Posey produced in Court a Deed emancipating his negro man Slave Robinson otherwise called Robinson Thornton, aged about twenty eight years about five feet ten inches high straight & well made Complexion a mulatto which said Deed is ordered to be recorded & It is further ordered that the clerk of this Court issue to said Robinson Thornton a Certificate of his freedom according to law."
