Elwood Epamanondus “Nondous” Satterwhite b. 14 Nov 1887 d. 8 April 1969 (served time in Huntsville for murder; info from James Starnes) “Nondous” m. (1) 2 Dec 1906, Ollie Bell Sharpes b. 13 Jan 1885, Texas. In 1910 census, Matagorda Co., Texas. In 1920 census Ollie and son James Freeman Satterwhite were in Teton, Montana with her brother William Royston Sharpes b. Texas. Their parents: Brainard Taylor Sharpes and Columbia Goff. Ollie m. (2) 3 Jan 1922, Sikke Glastra in Teton, Montana. Our Cousin Janice Main did outstanding research that establishes the fact that “Nondous” had a first name “Elwood”. Clues: Elwood had a brother, Perry (obit.), and had a permanent address with, Gerald O. Walker, his sister’s husband. WWII registration, Ballinger, Texas mentions that Elwood had a mangled left hand. I would have never solved this without Janice’s help. My own research found: Elwood Satterwhite d. April 1969. His marriage to Ollie Bell Sharpes is mentioned in a 1940, Tulsa, OK, census. He m. (2) after 1940, Stella V. Spratt b. 30 July 1895, KS d. 1 June 1973, Winnsboro, Wood Co., TX, both buried Woodlawn Cem., Claremore, Rogers Co., OK. Stella lived in Wood Co., Texas about 1960. Her parents: Andrew J. Spratt and Elma Viola Cass.
