Hello, Barbara. Since I had not added Martha's parents yet, I did that today. I was able to link it to your pages since you already had entered the information pertaining to her parents. See if that now lets you see the information I had added on my side of the family. - Sharon

I don't think you can delete photos (you couldn't before, but things change). However, you can disconnect/unlink a photo from all profiles & it should be deleted by the system in... um, about a week? You can ask in G2G to get more of an answer (maybe updated info too).

FYI - If you get to a point where WikiTree won't let you add a profile, I think there's a limit to how many profiles you can create before signing the Honor Code - http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Honor_Code

Once you sign the honor code, you'll be able to edit any Open profile, whether you're on the trusted list or not, which makes adding sources & additional info easier.

PS - doing post-merge cleanup on the merge, a date warning highlighted that Turner-3702 was said to marry Peter in 1857 & he died in 1837, so I detached her as his wife.

His profile still needs some good sources - the 1850 census must be where his birthplace of Virginia came from (the 1850 census gives state or country of birth for the person's parents), but no source for Henry County or any of the other info.

Also, please add the names of his other three children. The more information available, the better the chances that someone will be able to find sources.

Thank you for the response Barbara. Unfortunately, WikiTree has a lot of unresponsive managers, which means we don't get to collaborate as much as we'd like.

For the two Kays, I think they should be merged* & the extra wife kept attached with an explanation in the text that she doesn't belong (with sources - if the manager for Kay-2589 had included good sources in the profiles, it would not be such a problem that he's not responsive.

* I just saw that someone merged the two and kept the Larson spelling - this was no doubt because the profile you manage had absolutely no sources while Key-449 had sources (albeit not good ones). I would recommend that you edit the profile & add the sources for your information. See Sources for more information.

Hi Barbara! I saw your note on Key-449. If (Key-449 & Key-2589) are intended to be for the same person, even with the mystery wife, they should be merged. However, I see your point on wishing to hold off. Any progress? If not, you might want to post a query to G2G from Key-449 asking about the unknown wife. Also, it would be helpful if you would post your sources for Key-2589.

This pair has received default approval for the merge to proceed. If you are still actively researching whether or not the merge should proceed, you can postpone it (set it to an unmerged match). However, if you think they are the same person, just with an undocumented wife attached, please complete the merge.

I wanted to suggest that you separate your DUEASE_DEWEESE tag into two separate tags. Then you can then click each one and see a list of other WikiTree genealogists who are also researching those names. There will also be another tab on that page that you can click to see all profiles on WikiTree using that surname.

Additionally, you'll get notifications in your daily & weekly emails when there is activity relevant to your tags.
