Biography

Uncle Vincent was in the United States merchant marine during the second world war. He was awarded the Merchant Marine Combat Bar and the Mediterranean Middle East War Zone Bar by the War Shipping Administration. He worked in the engine rooms of his ships and after the war he was a heavy-equipment operator for Operating Engineers local No. 106 out of Albany, New York. He also worked on the Dew Line in Alaska. He was a very tall man at least 6'-6" and very strong man. Kind of a rough and tough guy but had a very good heart.^[1]
