She was from Elliotsburg, Spring Tp, Perry Co, PA, at time of marriage. He was from Landisburg, Tyrone Tp, Perry Co PA. He was age 22 and she 18. Neither married previously. He was listed as a carpenter.

Had diabetes; died on Easter day.

Was "PA Dutch" (PA German). Wore a white cap of the plain people (Mennonite?) when first married and always wore an apron.

Newspaper notice: "Mrs Harry Fetter, son Lee, and daughters, Mabel, Martha and Ruth, and grandson Kenneth Lay, of Carlisle; Mr and Mrs George Anderson, sons Franklin and Ralph, and Miss Nila Sides, of Harrisburg, were Sunday afternoon guests of Mrs Bertha Hoover."
