Biography

Mary Fanshawe was a daughter of Thomas Fanshawe and Joan Smythe.^[1][2]

Mary Fanshawe, daughter of Mr Thomas Fanshawe, was baptised on 08 Feb 1587/1588 at Christchurch Newgate Street, City of London.^[1][3]

She appears to have succeeded a younger sibling also called Mary who was buried on 17 Dec 1587 at Christchurch Newgate Street, City of London.^[1]

Unlike four of her siblings, Mary was not recorded as a beneficiary of the will of her grandmother, Alice (Judde) Smythe, the will made on 10 Jul 1592.^[4] Hence it is assumed she had died prior to the will being made.
