Biography

Hiram's parents arrived in Fayette County Ohio from Virginia or possibly what is now West Virginia in the year 1810. Hiram married Nancy Fancher and his brother William married her sister, Elizabeth Fancher. Hiram and his family moved to Iowa in 1849-1850, probably with his brother William's family. They settled first in Jefferson County and then Wayne County, Iowa.
