Biography

Daughter of George Jurey Weigand (1703-1778) and Jannetje “Jane’ Bond (1706-1770) and thus the sister of Michael Wygant who married Rebecca Presler.

Name also spelled Wygant and Wigant.

West "Wessey" Wiegand had seven children with Joseph Presler: Samuel (?-?); Matthew William (1775-1839); Enos (1777-1860); Wessey (1783-1850); Jane (1785-?); Ira (1790-?); Nellie (1815-1893).

Wygant-120 and Wiegand-316 appear to represent the same person because: They have the same birth and dead dates and were married to the same man. there appear to have been several variations on the spelling of her birth name.
