Redmond Stapleton was born about . . . . ,

An English Catholic (who may have come to Ireland with Cromwell although the family had links to Ireland long before this time [1] who had lands at Thurlesbeg, County Tipperary. The Stapleton Family had roots in Yorkshire (see monmumental inscription for Redmond's son, Edmund).

Redmond Stapleton married the daughter of Cornelius Fogarty Esq of Devey.
