Biography

Joseph Ede ("Eddie" or "Jim") Istre died at age 57 in a Lafayette, Louisiana, hospital at 12:45 am on Sunday,16 Dec 1956. He was a clerk in Morse, Louisiana. Last rites were held in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Lyons Point, Louisiana, with burial in church cemetery by Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley, Louisiana. He was survived by 2 brothers: John and Joe Istre; 3 sisters: Mrs. Tony Richard of Lake Arthur,Mrs. Mancel Richard of Lafayette and Mrs. Mary Cuttler of Crowley; 12 nephews; and 20 nieces.
