Biography
The 1881 History of Marlborough [1] has the following biographical information:
- James Wakefield, son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Hardy) Wakefield, born in Dublin, Sept 9, 1782. Married October 11, 1803, Hannah, daughter of Elias and Mary (Patterson) Hemenway. They came to Marlborough immediately after their marriage and located in the north part of the town on what is still known as the Wakefield place, and was set off to help make the town of Roxbury, in 1812.
- Mrs. Hannah Wakefield died Nov 13, 1829 and he married 2d Nancy Parker of Phillipston, Massachusetts who died Nov 13, 1848.
