Also Stephen Hopton, private, 67 days, paid 8-0-6. 1796 Greene Co TN: 5 Sep Will of John Hopton names oldest son John. Other children listed Stephen, Abner, Enoch, Aron, Mary Border, Ann Boyd. From names of children, there's no doubt that Mary was wife of Michael Borders 174X-1807 of Washington Co VA, Greene Co TN & Jackson Co GA. WSBorders 1796 Greene Co TN, Will of John Hopton Sep 5: To my oldest son JOHN, 10 shillings for his birthright. Five pounds to Methodist Church.
