Biography

James was baptised at Loth on 23 July 1803. He was the son of Murdoch Polson and Catharine Sutherland.[1]

He married Flora McKenzie on 12 December 1833 at Loth, Sutherland.[2]

In 1841 James (age about 37) was living in Marrel, Loth, Sutherland, Scotland. Occupation: Farmer.[3]

In 1851 James (age about 47) was living in Marrel, Kildonan, Sutherland, Scotland. Relationship: Head.[4]

In 1861 James (age about 57) was living in Marrel, Kildonan, Sutherland, Scotland. Relation to Head of House: HeadOccupation:Crofter of 2 acres.[5]

In 1871 James (age about 67) was living in Marrel, Kildonan, Sutherland, Scotland. Relation to Head of House: HeadOccupation: Farmer of 2 acres.[6]
