Alfred was born in New Hampshire but they lived in Jay, Franklin, Maine, where Alfred was recorded farming 1850-1860.
Alfred probably died after 1860. She is recorded living with her son Lawson G. Riggs and his family in 1870, age 73.
Research Notes
Place of burial not known yet.
Because two of her children, Mary Ann and George, were deaf and mute, her name is mentioned in certain special studies of deaf marriage and inheritance. Thus a "DEAF" label has been attached to some genealogy profiles, but it is not clear that she was deaf herself.
