She was the daughter of William Blomfield and Elizabeth (Hickman) Blomfield. She remained unmarried the balance of her life.
In the 1851 census Eliza (age 10), Scholar, was the daughter of William Blomfield and Emily Hickman Blomfield in Holborn, Saint George Bloomsbury, St Giles, London & Middlesex, England.[4]
In the 1851 census Eliza was resident with her parents at 159 Holborn Street, in the Township of Bloomsbury, Borough of Finsbury. Her occupation was listed as Scholar.
