Biography

Eliza Blomfield migrated from England to New Zealand.

Eliza's birth was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1840 in the Holborn district, of London, England.^[1][2] She was born at St Andrews London, Bloomsbury, Finsbury London a fashionable part of town. ^[3]

She was the daughter of William Blomfield and Elizabeth (Hickman) Blomfield. She remained unmarried the balance of her life.

In the 1851 census Eliza (age 10), Scholar, was the daughter of William Blomfield and Emily Hickman Blomfield in Holborn, Saint George Bloomsbury, St Giles, London & Middlesex, England.^[4]

In the 1851 census Eliza was resident with her parents at 159 Holborn Street, in the Township of Bloomsbury, Borough of Finsbury. Her occupation was listed as Scholar.

After Eliza's father died died in London in 1857, her mother Elizabeth and children emigrated to New Zealand.

Eliza died in New Zealand in 1888 and was unmarried with no children. ^[5]
