From the LaFollette Press, Thursday, March 4, 1982:

Danow W. Disney, 79, of Lake City, died Monday at Baptist Hospital.

He was a retired merchant, and had served two terms on the City Council of Lake City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Katherine Stansberry Disney; eight brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Disney is survived his wife, Mrs. Helen Wallace Disney; three sons, J. Will, Bruce, and Earl Disney; a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Mary Ruth) Bailey; three grandsons, Steve, Robert and George Disney; three granddaughters, Debra Daugard, Vickie Bailey, Michelle Disney; three great-grandsons, Brad and Matthew Disney and Steve Daugard; and a great-granddaughter, Anna Daugard.

The funeral is planned for 2 p.m. today at Martin's Funeral Home with the Revs. Andrew Henry and Leonard Dabney officiating.

Burial will be in Longfield Cemetery. 1
