Daughter of Johann Michael Hillerich of Seckmauern and Anna Apollonia Ritter of Angelhof bei Seckmauern.
Name and Birth Date Discrepancies
The inscription for Elisabetha (Elizabeth) on the Bierly monument at Holyoke Cemetery in Posey Township errs in giving her date of birth as 24 Jan 1824. She was actually born on 9 Jan 1824 at Seckmauern and her baptism recorded in the Catholic Parish of Neustadt im Odenwald.[1][2] Every contemporary record refers to her as Elisabetha or Elizabeth including her German birth/baptism record, but she was called Rose in the obituary of her daughter.[3] Perhaps she was Rosa Elisabetha but there really isn't enough solid evidence to officially list it as such.
