Biography

Elizabetha was born in 1781.

"George and Patience (Dorsey) Wilderman came to Illinois in 1805 with eleven of their thirteen children, one having left the family while they were living in Ohio, and he (John) was never heard from afterwards. Levi, the youngest, was born on Turkey Hill. Frank walked back to Pennsylvania where they had lived for a while to marry his sweetheart, but for some reason, they were never married, and he and a man named Stuntz walked back to Illinois. Frank never married. All the rest of the family married and raised families. Records of Jacob and Henry's families are only cerified by their wills to be found in the Belleville Court House. The names of the remainder of the family are as follows: Elizabeth, George, James, Dorsey, Micha, Sarah, Joseph, William and Levi. The family settled southeast of the present city of Belleville in a historic location called Turkey Hill, so named by the Indians. Here, all that were old enough entered land and much of that land is still in the hands of their descendants. George Sr. was of German descent and his wife Patience was English. He and his father, Jacob, had both served in the Revolutionary War."^[1]

She passed away in 1861.^[2]
